When my children were young, one of the ways that I loved to engage them in preparing for the Jewish holiday was cooking! My older child George has apraxia, an intellectual disability and autism. Cooking together was a multi-sensory experience that he loved to engage in–and making charoset for Passover was one of our favorite holiday activities!
Through jkidaccess, we’ve created a number of resources to help children get ready for Passover.
A social narrative is a learning tool for children with autism and other cognitive disabilities that depicts a social situation that your child may encounter. Our jkidACCESS social stories focus on Jewish culture. They are created in Powerpoint so that you can download and personalize them with your child’s photos.
Passover is full of different experiences–including food, a special kind of meal and for some families, travel. Our social story reminds kids that they can always take a breask as needed!

You can print out these bingo sheets ahead of the holiday for a fun way to learn Passover symbols. You could also use the game as a fun intergenerational way to engage grandparents and grandkids.
These bingo boards are clean and clear, with both visuals and words. Print them here.
